Elko County Law Library

Access to Legal Information for our Patrons

The Elko County Law Library is located within the Reference Department of Elko County Library. It provides access to legal information for library patrons and legal professionals. Assistance is available in person, by e-mail, or over the phone at (775) 753-4609. The law library has resources in print, on the web, and through the LexisNexis database.

The Law Library Assistant is currently available during these hours:

Monday 9 - 1
Tuesday 11 - 3
Wednesday 11 - 3
Thursday 11 - 3
Friday 12 - 3

Access to the law collection, resources, and other staff assistance is available whenever the Elko County Library is open.

The law library can help patrons find definitions, statutes, court rules, public case information, and legal forms. By law, the Elko County Law Library cannot provide legal advice or counsel, interpretations, or provide assistance in filling out legal forms. Patrons should seek professional legal assistance for these services.

The Nevada Revised Statutes is available in print at the law library. This and other state resources may also be found online here.

LexisNexis is a fully-searchable database with access to full-text cases, statutes, law review articles, and many other materials relating to law. The Law Library Assistant, Reference Librarian or other library staff member must be consulted to use this resource.

Also, see our State and Local Links page for other useful resources such as city and county codes, other law libraries, and local law help.
