It is the Season for Giving and the Elko County Library will once again be displaying the Sugar Plum Tree. This year, more than any other, it seemed important to help those who are less fortunate within our community.
The library has partnered with the Nevada Youth Training Center, Elko County Social Services, and the Highland Manor. These organizations have provided names of children, elderly, and those with special needs, along with what type of gifts they are wishing for at Christmas, so that community members can provide gifts to those who may otherwise not get one at Christmas.
With current restrictions in place, we have created a virtual way to look at and request the tags this year.
We ask that all presents be wrapped and then delivered, with name-tags, to the Elko County Library no later than December 18, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. As the library is not currently open for in-person services, we ask that you please call to make drop off arrangements or visit our website for possible future drop-off times.
Thank you for helping to make the Christmas Season merry for everyone in Elko County!
The Elko County Library does not qualify any names for the tree.
